Oxfam is committed to creating a world without poverty. Working with ethnic minorities to fight poverty has always been one of our top priorities locally. We hope to create a favourable educational environment for ethnic minorities to learn Chinese to ensure equal access to opportunities. We have been doing this through the first Pay-for-Success project in Hong Kong, ‘Start from the Beginning – Chinese Supporting Scheme for Non-Chinese Speaking Students in Kindergarten’. We are also promoting the viability of this project, as well as this innovative public-private partnership model in Hong Kong.
