• Youth Development and Participation

Karen is a senior social worker with 17 years of experience practising and supervising centre-based, community-based as well as school-based services for children and youth. In 2011, Karen joined HKCSS as Chief Officer (Children & Youth Service). She has since facilitated service development through learning about voices of users, service managers and practitioners, blending that with professional knowledge and advocating funding and policy support. Karen is well versed in youth development issues including mental health and suicide prevention, civic engagement, life and career planning, etc. and has maintained close collaboration with NGOs and cross-sector stakeholders.
