• Youth Development and Participation

Mr. Irving Baleros has been specializing in youth outreaching social work since 2004 and is deeply concerned about marginalization of young people served by youth outreaching service. He is committed to enhancing public understanding and removing the stigma on this group of disadvantaged young people through diverse means. He has created various opportunities for these young people to express their feelings and thoughts on issues such as youth suicide and social systems through theatre and drama. In 2016-2017, he participated in the Youth Civic Engagement Project organized by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. Having learnt the theories and skills of Community Organizing, he organized a group of young people to connect with other disadvantaged groups in Tai Po and jointly advocated for setting up community markets. With strong belief in the core values of social work, Mr Baleros has been doing his best to promote social change and uphold social justice.
