Ms. Josephine LEE

Ms. Josephine LEE received her Bachelor of Social Sciences (Social Work) and Master of Social Sciences in Social Work from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The University of Hong Kong respectively. Besides, she also holds an EMBA degree from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Ms. LEE is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of St. James' Settlement.

Ms. LEE began her social work career as a family counsellor and school social worker when she joined St. James' Settlement. She was then promoted to supervise elderly services in managing community-based services for the elderly. Later on, Ms Lee began to head up a new unit focusing on partnership and alliance development when she was responsible for project development, image building, marketing and corporate communication. After taking up the positions of Assistant CEO and Deputy CEO in 2011 and 2013, she succeeded as CEO in January 2018.

Ms. LEE is a well-known social innovator in Hong Kong and promotes learning social innovation in action. She is actively involved in developing social services and social enterprise. To name a few, she is member of government advisory committees (Community Investment and Inclusion Fund Committee, Community Care Fund Task Force, Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee etc.), Executive Committee Member of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, Council Member of Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprise and Vice-Chairman of Community Drug Advisory Council. Ms. LEE is also External Advisor of the social work training of tertiary institutions.
